Dr. Tarun Suri is Head of Division of Spine Surgery at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. He did his MBBS, MS (Orthopaedics Surgery) and Senior Residency from prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi. He is a fellowship trained, full-time Spine Surgeon, having received his training at a very high volume centre, Park Clinic, Kolkata, where he trained in all types of spine surgeries under guidance of both Orthopaedic Spine Surgeons (under Dr Saumyajit Basu) and Neurosurgeons. He received the degree of FNB (Spine Surgery), which is the only Spine Surgery super-speciality programme in India accredited by NMC (National Medical Council). He then trained under the Neurosurgery department at Park Clinic, Kolkata under the guidance of Dr Sandip Chatterjee. This gave him the unique advantage of learning the skills from both Orthopaedic and Neuro-spine surgeons and thus best of both fields dealing with Spine Surgeries. He subsequently joined as teaching faculty at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, and Lok Nayak Hospital (largest Delhi government hospital) where he successfully performed numerous spine surgeries ranging from routine to very complex cases over last 6 years. He has also trained many trainee Orthopaedic surgeons and was involved in teaching of MBBS and MS students. He is also been a regular faculty, speaker and subject expert at many Spine surgery conferences and training courses. He is dealing exclusively with Spine related pathologies and doing all types of complex Spine Surgeries for more than a decade now.
The focus of his practice remains to give a pain-free, healthy spine to our patients by best possible, evidence based practices, which may be even non-surgical. He strictly follows ethical and justified patient selection to offer surgery to patients so that patient outcomes are best.
