Shoulder arthroscopy (also called ‘keyhole surgery’) is a minimally invasive procedure performed through a tiny incision over the shoulder. Compared to open procedures it has the advantage of early recovery, faster rehabilitation, and less pain. Our shoulder specialists have expertise in performing simple to complex shoulder reconstruction surgeries through keyhole surgery. Our surgeons perform these procedures under general anaesthesia while you are seated in a beach-chair position. You will also receive an injection into your neck which will numb your arm for more than 12 hours and provide pain relief. Your surgeon will introduce the instruments into the shoulder through tiny incisions to carry out whole procedure. This is usually performed as a day case surgery and you will be discharged home the same day.
