The lower end of triceps muscle (distal triceps tendon) is repaired surgically when detached from the top of one of the bone in the elbow (olecranon process). Your surgeon will make a cut in the back of the elbow to repair the tendon with sutures and anchors to obtain strong repair. You will be advised weight restriction for first few weeks along with guided exercise regimen. You are expected to return to full activity in about two to three months and sports in about six months.
